Pizza Di Farfalla
About This Spot
Pizza Di Farfalla hides in plain sight inside a small, unassuming strip mall on South Schoolhouse Road, sharing a space with a cozy coffee shop that gives it a quietly unique character. The moment you arrive, there’s a feeling of peaceful anticipation—as if you’re about to pull back a curtain on a well-kept local secret. The pace here is unhurried but purposeful, with a small team that knows their craft and cares about making each pizza a small celebration of simple, satisfying flavors.
Despite its modest setting, Pizza Di Farfalla doesn’t take shortcuts. The atmosphere bends toward a warm neighborhood vibe—friendly faces behind the counter, easy smiles, and a rhythm that embraces the daily ebb of people in the know, whether they’re grabbing lunch or planning dinner. This isn’t a place to linger long over a meal, but rather to return to over and over for the kind of takeaway that feels like a gift to yourself, a moment of calm and pleasure after a busy day.
The food itself is a subtle dance of texture and balance, where a perfectly crisp crust meets thoughtfully layered toppings, from the comfort of meaty pepperoni cups to the brightness of fresh peppers and the hearty goodness of meatball pizza. Each pie is crafted with care—crispy edges, just the right amount of sauce, and cheese that melts into a flawless harmony without ever feeling greasy. It’s easy to sense why the pizzas tend to sell out quickly, inviting you to plan ahead for your next visit and discover your own favorite slice.
The true heart of Pizza Di Farfalla, however, lies in the human connections—conversations with the folks who make and serve the pizzas, the way the staff remembers your name or your usual order, and the subtle warmth that threads through every interaction. It captures a slice of community, a shared love for well-made food, and a space where familiarity grows with each return.

The reviews are the real deal!! Best pizza in the suburbs far and away. The crust to sauce to topping ratio is perfect. Gio was nice enough to talk to us and really made it feel special. I would recommend to pre order day of if possible because they have been selling out. I will be back!

Worth the hype actually one of the best pizzas I’ve had. Definitely the best pizza in the suburbs. The crust was crispy and the cheese was divine without the pizza being too oily. The service however was truly impeccable the guy taking orders was so friendly and kind. Will definitely be back and also worth the drive!

If you haven't had this pizza you are missing out BIG time. It's our go-to as a family. My picky eater kids DEMOLISH this pizza and the owner and staff are as personable and efficient as it gets. You will NOT be disappointed with a single thing you try from this menu; it's ALL delicious!

The hype is real! We tried for days to get our hands on this pizza—it kept selling out, and now we know why. Absolute perfection! Flavor, quality, and service were all top-notch. Quick text replies, accurate order, and truly delicious pizza. New Lenox just leveled up. Well done!

I came out here because of Dave Portnoy’s review, like I am sure a lot of others have. I wanted to see if this place lived up to the hype. And it did! The pizza restaurant is in an odd strip mall, then located in the back of a coffee shop called Gost Coffee. I ordered pick up through their website and my order was ready at the specified time. In the restaurant section itself there are only a few tables. But you are able to also sit anywhere in the coffee house or their patio. So no lack of seating. The atmosphere in the coffee house is quirky. Employees have shadow boxes of their favorite things. There are gratitude journals you can write in or read what others have wrote. There is a Lego wall. And a full DJ set up. It was interesting to just walk around and look at the random stuff collected there. I ordered 2 pizza. The sausage and mushrooms and the cupped pepperonis, ricotta cheese dollops, and hot honey. I preferred the second one. The salty pepperonis with the creamy ricotta with the sweet honey was a treat. The pizzas are thin and crispy like Dave Portnoy likes them. Dave Portnoy said in his review that it was worth a 90 minute drive from the city. I don’t know about that. However, I felt it was worth the 45 minute drive from the suburb I live in. And the no hassle on-line ordering system helps that out since I know my pizza will be ready when I get there (if I time things correctly).

Pizza Di Farfalla Review – A Hidden Gem in the Neighborhood As someone who grew up in Chicago surrounded by legendary bar pies and deep dish classics, I’ve eaten my fair share of pizza. I’ve hit up some of the iconic spots Dave Portnoy has reviewed—John’s of Bleecker Street, Joe’s Pizza, Aurelio’s in Homewood—and I can honestly say Pizza Di Farfalla stands tall with the best of them. Tucked away in a warehouse-style neighborhood, this place has a unique vibe—a coffee shop right next to a bar, with a pizza joint that feels like a well-kept secret. But make no mistake: the pizza is front and center. The crust? Outstanding. Super crispy with that perfect balance of crunch and chew—exactly what you hope for when you take that first bite. The cheese was rich and melted just right, while the sauce packed real flavor. Honestly, I wish there was just a bit more sauce on the pies, but that’s a personal preference more than a complaint. The toppings were on point. The sausage was seasoned beautifully, and the cupped pepperoni with hot honey and a dab of ricotta—wow. That combination brought the whole thing together. The heat from the honey, the creamy coolness of the ricotta, and the savory spice of the pepperoni was just chef’s kiss. Living in New Lenox my whole life, I never thought I’d find a pizza place like this just down the road. But here we are—and I’ll absolutely be back. Pizza Di Farfalla is the real deal. If you’re a pizza lover, this place is worth every slice. Score: 8.6/10 (Yeah, I just went full Portnoy with that one.) P.s the staff was so nice and the head chef in the back literally thanked everyone who came up to the stand to by their pizza. He would yell their name and say thank you for coming. Awesome experience! We will be back! Thanks!
